This Invitation for bid follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project which appeared in United Nations Development Business (UNDB) Issue No. 0P00277705 dated March 06,2024 and the National e Procurement System of Tanzania (NeST) dated 07/08/2024.

The President's Office, Regional Administration and Local Government has received Loan financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Dar es Salaam Metropolitan Development Project 2 (DMDP2), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply of Bailey Bridges for Mbasa Bridge along Mchombe - Mbasa Road in Mlimba DC - Morogoro, Isagu Bridge along Mngeta - Isago Road in Mlimba DC - Morogoro, Ulaya Bridge along Zombo - Nyameni - Ulaya Road in Kilosa DC - Morogoro, Luhombelo Bridge along Mwaya - Iputi Road- Ulanga DC Morogoro, Nsanga Bailey Bridge along Kutela - Ntaba P/s Road (0.92Km) Busokelo TC - Mbeya and Nguni Bridge Mbecha Nguni Road in Ruagwa DC - Lindi. “For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing.”

The President's Office, Regional Administration and Local Government now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply of Bailey Bridges for Mbasa Bridge along Mchombe - Mbasa Road in Mlimba DC - Morogoro, Isagu Bridge along Mngeta - Isago Road in Mlimba DC - Morogoro, Ulaya Bridge along Zombo - Nyameni - Ulaya Road in Kilosa DC - Morogoro, Luhombelo Bridge along Mwaya - Iputi Road- Ulanga DC Morogoro, Nsanga Bailey Bridge along Kutela - Ntaba P/s Road (0.92Km) Busokelo TC - Mbeya and Nguni Bridge Mbecha Nguni Road in Ruagwa DC - Lindi

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Tendering using Request for Bids (RfB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Sixth, February 2025 as well as the Public Procurement Act, CAP 410, and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

Bids must be submitted electronically through NeST on or before 2:00 PM hours local time on 03/10/2025. Bid(s) will be opened promptly thereafter through NeST. Bid opening details will be available through NeST.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of Tender Security - Insurance Bond in the currency of The Tanzanian Shilling or freely convertible currencies in case of foreign Tenderers worth 1,000,000,000.00.

Bids not received or opened through NeST shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
