  • The East African Community (EAC) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the East African Regional Statistics Program for Results Project (EARSPforR) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply of ICT and Office Equipment for the Makerere University School of Statistics, Kampala, Uganda.
  • Bidders may bid for one or two contracts/lots, as further defined in the request for bids document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.
  • The East African Community (EAC) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply of ICT Equipment to support the Project.
  • Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016, Revised September 2025 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
  • Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the East African Community (EAC) and inspect the bidding document during office hours (0800 to 1600 hours) at the address given below.
  • The bidding document in English for the assignment can be accessed at: www.eac.int under tenders.
  • Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 11:00 hours local time on 5th December 2025. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below at 11:05 hours local time on 5th December 2025.
  • All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of USD 1,000 (United States Dollars; One Thousand Only). The Bid Security shall be valid in accordance with Section II-Bid Data Sheet (BDS), ITB; 19.1
  • Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
