• This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in the United Nations Development Business (UNDB) 12TH September, 2023

• The United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Tanzania Maternal and Child Health Investment Program, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply of ICT Equipment (Computers, Printers, Photocopiers and Projectors) for Project Coordination Unit.

• The Ministry of Health now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply of ICT Equipment (Computers, Printers, Photocopiers and Projectors) for Project Coordination Unit and delivery period will be four weeks from the date of Signing contract.

• Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Fourth Edition, November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

• Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Secretary Tender Board, Ministry of Health, P.O.BOX 236, Ground Floor, PMU Office Administration Block, Mnazi moja Zanzibar, attention: Procurement Officer– TMACHI Program, [email protected]. and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0800 to 1500 hours at the address given below.

• The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Tanzania shillings Two Hundred Thousand only (Tsh. 200,000.00). The method of payment will be by Bank through control number by requesting it from this email [email protected].

• Bids must be delivered to the Ministry of Health, PMU Office, Ground Floor, Administration Block, Mnazi Mmoja, P.O.BOX 236 on or before 10:30, 03 June, 2024. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the Ministry of Health, Conference Room Mnazi Mmoja Zanzibar immediately thereafter the deadline for bid submission.

• All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of Bank Guarantee of Five Million Tanzania Shillings only (Tsh. 5,000,000.00). or its equivalent in any freely convertible currency. The Bid Security shall be clearly addressed to the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Health, P.O.BOX 236, Zanzibar – Tanzania. The Bid Security shall be valid for twenty-eight (28) days beyond the bid validity period, i.e. 148 days after the bids submission deadline.
