The GIRAV Project has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Designed and built a treatment plan and storage tank to support the increase of water supply to promote irrigation to boost agribusiness, and to improve access to WASH in rural areas. It’s intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts[1] for Detail Designed and Construction of Bansang Treatment Plant and Storage tanks

• The GIRAV Project now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Detail Designed and Construction of Bansang Treatment Plant and Storage tanks:

• Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers”dated February 2025(“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

• Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Gambia Inclusive and Resilient Agriculture Value Chain Development Project, [email protected] / [email protected] and inspect the Bidding document during office hours 8:00am to 16:00 hours from Mondays to Thursdays and 8:00 to 12:30pm Fridays at the address given below.

• The Bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Three Hundred Dollars USD$300.00. The method of payment will be by cash or transfer to the GIRAV account number which will be provided upon request. The document will be sent by soft copy.

• Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 28th August 2025 .11:00am Electronic bidding will Not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. The outer Bid envelopes marked “ORIGINAL BID, and Detail Designed and Construction of Bansang Treatment Plant and Storage tanks” will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend, at the address below: Ministry of Agriculture Conference Room at 11:30am 28th August 2025.

• All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security amounting to GMD500,000 from a reputable Bank and shall be valid for 120 days

• All Bids must be accompanied by a Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and/or Sexual Harassment (SH) Declaration.

• Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.

[1] Substitute “contracts” where Bids are called concurrently for multiple contracts. Add a new para. 3 and renumber paras 3 - 8 as follows: “Bidders may Bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the bidding document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.”
