• The Government of Southern Sudan has a received a Grant from the Multi Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) through the International Development Association (IDA) (hereinafter called "Grant") towards the cost of the "Basic Packages for Health Services" in various States.

• The Norwegian People's Aids (hereinafter called the "Consultant") is contracted to offer Services as the Lead Agency to deliver Basic Packages of Health Service in Central Equatoria State over a period of three years.

• With Technical Assistance of the Consultant, the Grant Recipient intends to apply a portion of the funds to eligible payments under contract for the supply of Seven (7) Station Wagon Vehicles and Five (5) off-road motorcycles.

• The Consultant now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply of the following:

LOT 1 # A:  Six (6) Station Wagon vehicles;  13-Seater, brand new/unused production model, suitable for tropical conditions,  white in color, LHD, diesel-6 cylinder engine of approx. 4200cc, 5 speed manual and 2 speed transfer gearbox, 3 doors, Vinyl seats, fittedwith accessories as detailed in the tender document.

LOT 1 # B: One (1) Station Wagon vehicle; 10-seater, brand new/unused production model, suitable for tropical conditions,  white in color, LHD, diesel-6 cylinder engine of approx. 4100cc, 5 speed manual and 2 speed transfer gearbox, 5 doors, Vinyl seats, fittedwith accessories as detailed in the tender document.

Lot 2 # A:   Five (5) Off road motorcycle; fully assembled, 2-seater, approx. 125 cc, 2 or 4 stroke Engine, electric & Kick start, 5 speed and each supplied with a helmet.

• Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.5

• Qualifications requirements include: Being mandated by manufacture tosupply the stated items. A margin of preference for certain goods manufactured domestically shall not be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.

• A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be obtained free by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below. The Bidding Documents will be sent by e-mail.

• Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 13th August, 2009 at 10.00am East African Standard Time. Electronic bidding will NOT be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.  Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 10.00 am.  All bids must be accompanied by a Bid security Declaration in the format provided in the bid document (part 1, section IV)
