REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

PROVISION OF CONSULTANT'S SUPERVISION SERVICES FOR PERIODIC MAINTENANCE (GRAVEL ROADS) AND SPOT IMPROVEMENT OF:  KAYA-YEI (KM 85); YEI-RAS-OLO(KM 150); AND KAJO-KEJI (KM 260) ROADS IN SOUTHERN SUDAN.

The Government of Southern Sudan (GoSS) has received financing from the Multi-Donor Trust Fund (administered by the World Bank) toward the cost of financing various components under the Southern Sudan Road Maintenance Project (SSRMP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for these consulting services.

The services include supervision service for Periodic Maintenance works as well as spot improvement works on selected roads, {Kaya-Yei( Km 85); Yei-Ras- Olo(Km 150);and  Kajo-Keji-Juba (Km 260)} which mainly comprise construction of earth and gravel layers and drainage structures. The anticipated implementation period will be from May 2010 to June2011.

The Ministry of Transport and Roads now invites eligible consultancy  firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

A Consultant firm or Association of firms will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (May 2004 and revised October 2006).
