• The Government of the Republic of The Gambia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Second Africa Higher Education Centres of Excellence Impact Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for The Supply, Delivery and Installation of Furniture and ICT Equipment for the Campus for the University for Science, Engineering and Technology for Entrepreneurship (USET) at Brikama.

• The Ministry of Higher Education, Research Science and Technology (MoHERST), the Executing Agency of the project represented by the Projects Coordination Unit (PCU) of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE) the Implementing Agency now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for The Supply, Delivery and Installation of Furniture and ICT Equipment for the Campus for the University for Science, Engineering and Technology for Entrepreneurship (USET) at Brikama.

• Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Fourth Edition November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

• Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from The Project Manager, PCU, MoBSE, Address: Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Willy Thorpe Place Building, ECOWAS Avenue, Banjul, The Gambia, Telephone (220) 9966871 / 2019871, 9945933 / 9964525 Email address [email protected] and inspect the bidding document during office hours 08:00am to 16:00pm GMT hours Mondays to Thursdays and 08:00am to 1200 noon GMT hours on Fridays at the address given below.

• The bidding document is written in English and may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of GMD 7,500.00 (Seven thousand five hundred Gambian Dalasi). The method of payment will be Cash. The document will be collected at the place of purchase.

• Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before Thursday 5th September 2024 at 12.00 p.m. (GMT). Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on Thursday 5th September, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. (GMT).

• All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of GMD 500,000 (Five hundred thousand Gambian Dalasi). The bid Security format shall be the same as presented in the bidding document and must be from a reputable bank in the The Gambia.
