REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

PROVISION OF CONSULTANT'S SUPERVISION SERVICES (PROJECT MANAGER) FOR EMERGENCY REHABILITATION WORKS IN JUBA

The Government of Southern Sudan (GoSS) has received financing from the Multi-Donor Trust Fund (administered by the World Bank) towards thecost of financing various components under the Sudan Emergency Transport and Infrastructure Development Program (SETIDP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for these consulting services.

The services include supervision services (Project Manager) for the Emergency Rehabilitation Works in Juba, which mainly comprise: i) verification of compliance of completed works with the contract specifications; ii) final measurements and preparing final accounts; and iii) evaluation of claims for Ministerial Office Buildings, Assembly and Presidential Palace, Juba Teaching Hospital, Juba Urban Water Supply and Sanitation projects (five contracts).  The anticipated implementation period will be from June 2010 to September 2011.

The Ministry of Housing, Physical Planning and Environment now invites eligible consultancy firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

A Consultant firm or Association of firms will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (May 2004 and revised October 2006).
