• The Municipality of Beledweyne, Hirshabelle FMS of Somalia has “through the Federal Government of Somalia” received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Somalia Urban Resilience Project (SURP-II)- Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the Procurement of Works for the Construction of PIU Office and Laboratory.

• The Municipality of Beledweyne now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Procurement of Works for the Construction of PIU Office and Laboratory. The scope of works includes construction, testing and commissioning of:

• Main office building (structural framework and roof slab), single floor area about 1085.28m2

• Laboratory building (structural framework and roof slab),, single floor area about 288m2

• Generator Room, floor area 63m2.

• Boundary wall 240m long, curing area 29m2

• Security tower and security room, floor area 28m2

• Electrical works and mechanical work including plumbing work, drainage, septic tank and firefighting installations.

The construction period will be 12 months with a Defects Liability Period of 12 months.

• Bidding will be conducted through open national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated November 2020 Edition and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

• Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Project Implementation Unit (PIU),

Beledweyne, Hirshabelle State of Somalia via Email, [email protected] and copy [email protected] and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0900 to 1500 from Saturday to Thursday except national public holidays at the address given below.

• A complete set of bidding documents in English may be obtained by interested eligible

bidders upon the submission of a written application to the e-mail address above.

• Bids must be delivered to the address below on or Moday, 10th June 2024, at 10am, (Mogadishu , Somalia Time).

Electronic Bidding will be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on Monday, 10th June 2024 at 10am (Mogadishu, Somalia Time).

• All Bids must be accompanied by a BID-SECURING DECLARATION using the form included in Section IV, Bidding Forms.

• Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.”
