COUNTRY	REPUBLIC OF KENYA• The Government of Kenya (hereinafter called “Borrower”) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Coastal Region Water Security and Climate Resilience Project (CRWSCRP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction of Water pans in Kwale County. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing.• The State Department for Water & Sanitation now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Contract No. KE-MOWI-CRWSCRP-005-2025-2026-CW-RFB; Construction of Water pans in Kwale County as follows:LOT 1 – Chikomani at Chikomani Village in Kasemeni WardLOT 2 - Gona B Water Pan at Gona B Village in Kinango WardLOT 3 – Kwa Beboga Water Pan at Kwa Beboga Village in Kasemeni WardLOT 4 – Kwa Bedenge Water Pan at Mudzalani Village in Kasemeni WardLOT 5 – Madewani Water Pan at Madewani Village in Kasemeni WardLOT 6 – Makuluni Water Pan at Makuluni Village in Kinango WardLOT 7 – Mrabaini Water Pan at Mrabaini Village in Kasemeni WardLOT 8 - Mkanyeni/Heko Water Pan at Heko Village in Kinango WardLOT 9 – Kwa Jawa Water Pan at Amani Village in Kasemeni Ward3. The Construction period is 10 calendar months and the construction location is Mwache Dam Area of Kwale County, Coordinates: Latitude 3°57'12" S and Longitude 39° 25'15" E.4. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” dated September 2025 Seventh Edition (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from The Project Manager; Coastal Region Water Security and Climate Resilience Project (CRWSCRP), Project Manager - E-mail: [email protected] and inspect the bidding document during office hours i.e. 0800 to 1700 hours East African Time at the address given below.6. The bidding document in English may be downloaded freely from the website below or state portal for www.tenders.go.ke or www.water.go.ke7. Bids must be delivered to the address below tender box located at Maji House Building, Fifth Floor Reception, to The Project Manager, Coastal Region Water Security and Climate Resilience Project (CRWSCRP), on Ngong Road on or before 1100 hours East African Time (EAT) on 2nd July, 2026. Electronic Bidding will NOT be permitted and Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below; Maji House Building, Fourth Floor, Board Room 449 at 1100 hours EAT on 2nd July, 2026.8. All Bids must be accompanied by a bid security issued by a reputable financial institution in Kenya and valid for 30 days beyond the Tender Validity period in form of a bank guarantee of Kenya Shillings Five Hundred Thousand Shillings (Kshs. 500,000) per Lot or an equivalent amount freely convertible currency and be delivered to the address below by the 2nd July, 2026 at 11.00 am EAT. Bidders can bid for one Lot or multiple Lots. Bidders bidding for multiple lots must submit a separate document for each lot.9. All Bids must be accompanied by a Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and/or Sexual Harassment (SH) Declaration.10.
