SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE Request for Bids Country: Kenya Name of Project: HORN OF AFRICA - GROUND WATER FOR RESILIENCE PROJECT (HoAGW4RP) Contract Title: Procurement of Construction of Works for Batch 1 Water Pans Within Marsabit County Loan No./Credit No./ Grant No.: IDA-7082-KE RFB Reference No.: KE-WRA-537056-CW-RFB 1. The Government of the Republic of Kenya (GoK) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of The Horn of Africa Groundwater for Resilience Project, Kenya. (HoAGW4RP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of Construction of Works for Batch 1 Water Pans Within Marsabit County 2.

The Water Resources Authority (WRA) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Construction of Water Pans - Batch 1 (Segel Waterpan, Sakardalla Waterpan, Turbi Waterpan, Mado Adhi Waterpan, Jaldesa Weir, Butie Sand Dam) in Marsabit County as detailed below: • Segel Waterpan - Capacity 11,600m3 • Sakardalla Waterpan - Capacity 19,000m3 • Turbi Waterpan - Capacity 11,600m3 • Mado Adhi Waterpan - Capacity 30,000m3 • Jaldesa Weir • Butie Sand Dam • Ancillary Works -Construction of Cattle troughs, intake and draw off facilities.

  • Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated July 2016, revised in September 2023, 5th Edition (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. 4.

Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Water Resources Authority, Agatha Njuguna, info@wra.cgo.ke and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0800 to 1700 hours local time from Monday to Friday, except public holidays. at the address given below. 5. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 9TH April 2026 at 1000hrs.

Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 9TH April 2026 at 1000hrs 6.
