Procurement of five laptops and one photocopier — Lesotho Basic Education Strengthening Project (BESP)

Ministry of Gender and Youth, Sports, Arts, Culture and Social Developments Request for Quotation for the Lesotho Basics Education Strengthening Project (BESP) 1. The Government of Lesotho (GoL) through the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) received a grant financing (Grant No.: TF0B7784) from Global Partnership for Education (GPE), amounting to US$7.1m to support the implementation of the Basic Education Strengthening Project (BESP) for a three (3) year period, February 2022 to February 2025.

BESP will be implemented by MoET and MoSD. 2. The Ministry of Social Development now invites sealed RFQs from eligible Bidders for supply and delivery of 5 laptops and a photocopying machine located at Pension building.

• Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement approach using a World Bank procurement guideline and is open to all eligible Bidders registered with the Ministry of Trade and Industry and in good standing in taxes with the Lesotho Revenue Authority. 4.

All bidders shall provide valid certified copies of Trader’s License, VAT certificate and Tax Clearance Certificates issued by relevant authorities in the Kingdom of Lesotho. All copies shall be certified at source. Failure to submit these documents will form grounds for disqualification of the bid 5.

Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Social Development, Procurement Section during office hours from Monday to Friday. This should be done in writing. 6. The RFQ documents will be available from 20th to 31st March 2023 from 0800 – 1600 hrs.

This document will provide detailed specifications as to what is requested. 7. The government of Lesotho reserves the right to accept or reject any submission and is not bound to accept a bid with the lowest tender price.

What is considered is the tender which provide value for money. 8. RFQs must be hand delivered to the address below on or before 31st March 2023 at 1230hrs in one sealed envelope clearly marked “Supply and delivery LAPTOPS AND PHOTOCOPYING MACHINI for BESP Project” bearing no identification of the bidder.
