Specific Procurement Notice Request for Quotation for the printing of the New Syllabi and Framework for Piloting Purchaser: The Government of The Gambia Project: The Gambia Resilience, Inclusion, Skills and Equity Project RISE Contract title: Reprinting of syllabi for English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, the National Curriculum framework, the implementation guide and Teacher’s Guide Country: The Gambia Grant No.: V4880-GM RFQ No: GM-PPPPE-443811-GO-RFQ Issued on: 27th August 2024 • The Ministry of Finance & Economic Affairs (MoFEA) (the Client) has received a grant from the International Development Association (IDA) (the “Bank”) towards the cost of the RISE and intends to apply part of the funds to finance the Printing of the new syllabi for English, Maths, Science and Social Studies, the National Curriculum framework, the implementation guide, teacher’s guides and textbooks. 2. The Gambia Resilience, Inclusion, Skills and Equity Project now invites sealed quotations from eligible printing companies for reprinting of textbooks specified in the table below: |

14 3. Bidders may Bid for one or both lots, as further defined in the RFQ document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the schedule of prices. 4. Bidding will be conducted through Request for Quotations (RFQ) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers”, September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. 5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information - samples of past printed textbooks, soft copies of the designs and the technical specifications) from the Central Project Coordination Unit, Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, and inspect designs and sample previous prints at the address given below from 8.00 a.m. to 16.00 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays and 08:00am to 12:30 p.m. on Fridays. 6. Quotations and related documentary evidence must be delivered to the address below on or before 10th September 2024. Electronic Bidding will be permitted. Late quotations will be rejected. Quotations will be opened virtually and in-person, in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 10th September 2024 at 12:30 GMT. 7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Security of GMD1,000,000 8. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document. 9.
