The Republic of South Africa has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Technical Assistance Project for Carbon Capture and Storage in the Republic of South Africa, and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contract for a service provider to conduct 2D and high-resolution 3D reflection seismic survey over the potential Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) site in Leandra, Mpumalanga. 2. The Council for Geoscience (CGS) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the appointment of the service provider to conduct 2D and high-resolution 3D reflection seismic survey over the potential CCUS storage site in Leandra, Mpumalanga.
- Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers –November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. 4.
Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Council for Geoscience, Ms Asanda Nase, and anase@geoscience.org.za 5. Bids must be delivered to the address below [1]on or before 25 July 2022 at 11H00 South African time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted.
Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 25 July 2022 at 11H00 South African time. 6.
All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration. 7. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
