GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

The Ministry of Health has received financing in the amount of US$6 Million amount equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the ESWATINI COVID-19 EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROJECT and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project.
The project will include the following components
Component 1: Emergency COVID-19 Response:
Strengthen COVID-19 Case Detection, Confirmation, Contact Tracing, Recording and Reporting
This component will support the government to enhance disease surveillance, improve sample collection and transportation, and ensure rapid laboratory confirmed diagnoses to promptly detect all potential COVID-19 cases and to carry out contact tracing to quickly contain COVID-19
Following Procurements will be carried out under this project; Procurement of medical equipment and supplies, Laboratory machines and consumables, Personal Protective Clothing (PPE), Renovation of hospitals centres, WASH activities and vehicles.
Component 2: Project Implementation and Monitoring & Evaluation
This component will support program coordination, management and monitoring, operational support and logistics, and project management. This will include support for the COVID-19 public structures for operational reviews to assess implementation progress and adjust operational plans; and provide logistical support.
Procurement of contracts financed by the proceeds of the proposed IBRD loan will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (July 2016) (Procurement Regulations), revised in November 2017 and August 2018, and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the World Bank’s open international approach to market procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business and dgMarket , local and regional newspapers.
