The Federal Government of Somalia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Somalia Crisis Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for supply of Refrigerated trucks to fishing associations in Somalia. “For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.” 2.

The Ministry of Finance Federal Republic of Somalia now invites eligible Bidders for Supply and Installation of two Solar-powered reverse osmosis desalination plants with delivery period to 5 months to Jubaland & Galmudug States. 3. Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

  • Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Project Implementation Unit of the Federal Ministry of Finance Email address: scrp@mof.gov.so. 5. The bidding document in English may be obtained free of charge by the interested bidder through a request email to scrp@mof.gov.so 6.

Bids must be delivered to the address in paragraph 8 below on or before July 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM (East Africa Time). Electronic Bidding will be permitted. Bids must be encrypted using a password provided by the Bidder 1 hour before the bid submission deadline.

Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below bidders will receive a Google Meet invitation or zoom to virtually attend the public opening bids immediately and Bids will be opened on July 15, 2024 at 11:30 AM (East Africa Time). 7.

All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration using the form included in Section IV, Bidding Forms. 8. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.”].
