• The São Tomé and Príncipe has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the West Africa Coastal Areas Resilience Investment Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction of housing and social infrastructure in the areas of safe expansion of the WACA project tin six target communities. “For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing.”

• The Project Management Fiduciary Agency (AFAP) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Construction of housing and social infrastructure in the areas of safe expansion of the WACA project in six target communities (Santa Catarina, Malanza, Praia Burra (Príncipe), Iô Grande, Micoló and Praia Abade (Príncipe), construction period:30 months.

• Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” July 2016 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

• Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Project Management Fiduciary Agency (AFAP), Alberto Fernandes Leal, [email protected], [email protected], and inspect the Bidding document during office hours 0900 to 1700 hours at the address given below Avenida Kwame Nkrumah, Edifício do Afriland First Bank, 3ª andar, caixa postal nº1029, São Tomé, São Tomé e Príncipe, Tel. +239 222 52 05.

• The Bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below. The document will be sent by email and/or on paper support.

• Bids must be delivered to the address below Avenida Kwame Nkrumah, Edifício do Afriland First Bank, 2º andar; Caixa Postalnº1029, S.Tomé, São Tomé e Príncipe; Tel: +239 222 52 05 on or before 09h00m, 11/12/2020. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below Avenida Kwame Nkrumah, Edifício do Afriland First Bank, 3ª andar, caixa postal nº1029, São Tomé, São Tomé e Príncipe, Tel. +239 222 52 05 on 09h05m, 11/12/2020.

• All Bids must be accompanied by a “Bid-Securing Declaration”.

• “Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.”
