República Democrática de São Tomé e Príncipe (Unidade – Disciplina – Trabalho) MINISTÉRIO DAS FINANÇAS, COMÉRCIO E DA ECONOMIA AZUL Agência Fiduciária e de Administração de Projetos SAMPLE FORMAT: GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE Sao Tomé and Príncipe / Regional West African Coastal Areas Resilience Investment Project (WACA-RP) Sector: Environment GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE Grant No. V1690 Project ID No. P162337 The Sao Tomé and Príncipe has received financing in the amount of US$ 9.1 million equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the West African Coastal Areas Resilience Investment Project (WACA-RP), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project.

This project will be jointly financed by the IDA - $ 8 million; GEF - $ 1.1 million. The project will include the following components: Component 1: Strengthening Regional Integration, Component 2: Strengthening the Policy and Institutional Framework, Component 3: Strengthening National Physical and Social Investments, Component 4: National Coordination. The following activities are to be procured through open international competitive procurement: (i) Sea security kits, (ii) the wave prediction model, (iii) geomorphological studies, (iv) installation and acquisition of two other maritime meteorological stations and (v) the detailed adaptation option plans.

Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (July 2016) (Procurement Regulations), and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations. After project negotiations, the World Bank shall arrange the publication on its external website of the agreed initial procurement plan and all subsequent updates once it has provided a no objection. Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to open international competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business online, on the World Bank’s external website and https://www.telanon.info/.
