The Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Power Sector Recovery Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Civil Works for the Rehabilitation and Extension of the Contador HPP (Access Track and Cleanining Works )

The Agência Fiduciária e de Administração de Projectos (AFAP) now invites sealed Bids from from eligible Bidders for the Rehabilitation and cleaning of access road (Civil Works) to the Contador Hydro Hower Plant (HPP) in Ponta Figo ,São Tomé é Príncipe) The civil works involve the upgrade of the existing access tracks to forebay and powerhouse.

Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using the Standard Bidding Document (SBD) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Fourth Edition, November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before january 10, 2024, 10h:00 Local S.Tomé Time. Electronic Bidding not will be permitted, as set forth in ITB 22.1. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on January 10, 2024, 10h:05 Local S.Tomé Time.

All Bids must be accompanied by a "Bid Security Declaration” as defined in ITB 19.1.

“Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.”
